Slim was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in New Orleans, Slim KuttaR developed an eclectic range of musical tastes from the hard driving vocal styling of the gospel quartet to the syncopated rhythms of the second line. He draws upon this influence in both his own music, and his very formidable work behind the scenes with other artists.
