Music has always been a major factor in the life of American entertainer, film and music executive, Nolfris “Slim KuttaR” Williams. He comes from a long line of talented singers and entertainers with a family that includes the late, great Paul Williams of the Temptations. His grandfather, James, was a five-octave singer with the Ensley Jubilees, a popular gospel quartet in the 1950s and beyond.

In his debut EP’s, “Hustlers Pack” and “DM’s and Text Messages”, multi platinum selling artist and songwriter Slim KuttaR incorporates a diverse mix including jazz, hip-hop, and classical in each of his songs. Slim KuttaR says his music “is about having fun and enjoying life no matter where you are on the journey.”

Written by Slim KuttaR, “Hustlers Pack” and “DM’s and Text Messages” was released in July 2023.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in New Orleans, Slim KuttaR developed an eclectic range of musical tastes from the hard driving vocal styling of the gospel quartet to the syncopated rhythms of the second line. He draws upon this influence in both his own music, and his very formidable work behind the scenes with other artists.

A major turning point in his career came in 2005 when Slim KuttaR assumed the role of General Manager of La Chic Freak Music owned by his high school classmates and rap duo The Knux who were signed, at that time, to Matthew Knowles’ label Music World. The Knux would later sign with Interscope Records. This inaugural run in the music and entertainment business made a significant impact on his career and helped develop his unique approach to doing business in the hip-hop genre.

“It provided invaluable lessons and helped me build friendships and business relationships I enjoy even to this present day,” he says. In 2007, Slim KuttaR joined his childhood friend Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment affiliate N.O. Capo to form Forever Living Young Entertainment in partnership with Dwatt and other industry friends including Rocko, and Five.

This collaboration yielded the release of N.O. Capo’s Creole Bled Vol. 1 that created a huge buzz across the country. They followed that release with City Under Siege in early 2008 hosted by DJ Khaled. Slim KuttaR continued working with N.O. Capo and other artist as a manager.

A chance meeting with Putamayo Records CEO Drew Young proved to be another turning point in Slim KuttaR’s career. Young who had been working with a number of labels in Europe connected Slim KuttaR with Galaxi Group based in Sweden and headed by music veteran and CEO Attila Galaczi.

Over time, Slim KuttaR decided to move beyond the manager/executive role and give voice to his own creative expression. He approached Galaczi and Young with the idea of him recording an EP.

Slim KuttaR through his own imprint Undisputed Hustlers along with Galaxi Group released his debuted single “Off The Wall” is in rotation on Q93.3FM New Orleans, iHeart Internet Radio, and European National Radio. Totaling more than 526K streams and sales to date with 188K plus on Spotify along “Off The Wall” debuted here in the states on Spotify’s American Top 40 and iTunes Top 100 playlist.

His  second single which was released February 16, 2018 “Happy Hour” is in rotation on iHeart Internet Radio and has more than 201K streams and sales to date.

On June 6, 2018 Slim KuttaR released his third single “My Lady” on all major digital outlets. Currently “My Lady” is in rotation on iHeart Internet Radio and FM Radio. In March of 2021 “My Lady” exceeded 1 Million in streams and sales earning Slim KuttaR his first platinum record! Slim KuttaR’s “My Lady” is now 4x platinum and was also licensed and used in the movie Black and Blue (2019 film) staring Naomie Harris and Tyrese Gibson that was release in theaters worldwide October 25, 2019. It’s also included on the movie’s soundtrack.

Slim KuttaR fourth single "Overdose on Lust" gives us a little NOLA bounce while telling a story fit for the movie screen. It's a cross between Drake "In My Feelings" and R. Kelly "Trapped in the Closet", which will have you hitting repeat! Released October 12, 2018 "Overdose on Lust" is over 96K downloads and streams to date.

Slim KuttaR came back with his fifth single and was the anthem for the summer "Hangover". Released July 12, 2019 on all major platforms has over 90k streams and downloads, “Hangover” embodies the morning after a wild night filled with fun times with good people making for a legendary story to tell for decades to come!

Slim KuttaR teamed up with former NBA Allstar Baron Davis aka Bart Oatmeal and Los Angeles renowned Term aka Da Bix God for his first compilation release “LA 2 LA”. This compilation album released on February 24, 2023 features all LA artists and producers making Slim KuttaR the lone New Orleanian representative on the entire project. On this compilation album Slim KuttaR’s lyrical versatility is on full display! This compilation album you can let roll from start to finish and then hit repeat!

Then in November of 2023 on Thanksgiving day Slim KuttaR released his third EP titled “Audience” for the true HipHop heads! Another project you can play from start to finish which includes a glimpse of what’s to come.

To kick off his 2024 campaign, Slim KuttaR is set to release to his latest EP, “Eviction Notice”. This variety pack will showcase lyrical prowess with his unorthodox flow and song writing genius. Another project you can repeat from start to finish!

Slim KuttaR will also kick off his nationally syndicated radio show in July 2024 and his “One Night Only” tour in August 2024.

Aside from his passion for music, Slim KuttaR is a lover of history and basketball. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in History from Green Mountain College. He also played professional basketball in North America and Europe.
